#The binding of isaac antibirth expansion plus#Repentance is dealing with all of the problems and bloat that Afterbirth+ added plus more plus bewildering nerfs and changes that make thing less interesting, not more. If you weren't enjoying Isaac for the past number of years, this will not help. Most of my runs were dull as it was already, that's why I haven't even played in months or even years, so I guess if I ever even want to play again I'll not get the expansion. aka reducing shop inventory, A d6 that has a 50/50 chance of deleting a pickup or changing it to something worse, single item only devil deals, everything is weaker and rarer, its as if they think we all enjoy holding R til we see something exciting. ![]() Originally posted by :People that hate it have good reason to, there were nerfs across the board that made runs extremely dull on average and the devs are committed to some tard belief that cutting off item diversity makes the game more fun. This as well as there being nerfs to item pool and mechanics, and meaninglessly oppressively difficult enemies and bosses, I'm going to go hard pass is the safe option. #The binding of isaac antibirth expansion mod#Considering my question was what was different between the Antibirth mod and the Repentance expansion, I'm sorry to say you have not really answered the question.īased on what I've seen, no one has said what it actually added on top of the Antibirth mod, other than it's for afterbirth, which sounds like literally nothing was added to Antibirth in that case. that's your call, I'm more then happy with it. I'm having fun with the expansion and I've seen a lot of new stuff that wasn't in the mod already :) If it's worth your money. It'll take some time until you get a good answer, there are only 2 sides atm. ![]() A lot of people are pissed about the game because they need to change the way they play. ![]() But ah, I trust they all know what they're doing as they integrate the two.Originally posted by The Suave Monkey:lol you kind of made it sound like not getting repentance is the way to go. A lot of its complex ideas-and especially its difficulty-feel a bit beyond what I know Isaac as. I really like Antibirth, but I like it as a mod. It's a heck of a mod - and made without official mod tools too. Its new items often work in mysterious ways that take practice and learning. It has a character who is actually two wee men controlled at the same time (unlike The Forgotten, whose forms we switch between). It casually slips in lots of secret places and tricks that you might not even see for ages, discovered in niche circumstances or with weird ways. Antibirth is remarkable, feeling almost like a different game as it dances across new alternate floors and boss battles that can play quite differently to Isaac. I am excited to have more Isaac, heck yeah, and will be glad to see the Antibirth team's work get more attention. Yes, it will cost money and no, they haven't settled a release date yet. #The binding of isaac antibirth expansion Pc#The meaty DLC will be coming to PC on March 31st of this year and to consoles at an unannounced later date. #The binding of isaac antibirth expansion free#The seminal roguelike The Binding of Isaac has another expansion in the works with The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and it finally has a launch date (for PC anyway). McMillen added that Antibirth team member "LeatherIceCream" is involved too, and that Isaac: Repentance will also include new music, new cutscenes, and story bits. The Binding of Isaac expansion, Repentance, launches March 31st. "I'm working alongside to tweak the mod and make it canon!" And it's terribly big I can't wait to start it Sadly, after 2 weeks, most people will just switch to Afterbirth+. "It will include the amazing Antibirth mod + a ton more content that will make you shit your butts!" Isaac co-creator Edmund McMillen announced on Twitter on Saturday. As someone still playing Isaac every day, I'm always up for more. First released in 2016, Antibirth adds so many new characters and floors and enemies and things that work in different and surprising ways, and feels mighty polished too. Following the small-ish Afterbirth+, which was supposed to be the roguelikelike cry 'em up's final expansion, The Binding Of Isaac: Repentance will be a big'un: rolling in the wild mod Antibirth, along with new stuff. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the basement, another expansion for The Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth has been announced. ![]()
